Summary:
Tuesday- Choice steers & heifers & Holstein
steers & heifers sold with prices $1-2 higher. All other fed cattle sold
steady. Cows sold on a stronger market.
Thursday- Veal sold actively
with steady prices. Lambs sold steady to higher. Sheep sold steady. Goats sold
higher.
Friday-Calves sold on a strong active trade
with grass type cattle bringing a premium. Yearling sold actively with prices
$3-5 higher.
Steers:
K/C McAlpine of Ailsa Craig consigned 8 head. 3
char steers averaged 1547 lbs and sold for an average
price of 146.50.
Art Bos of Blyth consigned 2 head. 1 peid steer weighed 1580 lbs and
sold for a price of 147.00.
