Total Receipts: 1939 cattle & 415 lambs & goats

 

Summary      Tuesday      Fed steers and heifers sold steady. Choice steers and heifers 138.00 – 145.00 sales to 149.00. Second cut steers and heifers 130.00 –138.00. Aged & Medium fed steers and heifers 100.00 – 125.00. Cows sold on an easier market.

Thursday     Veal sold actively at prices easier than last week’s high sale. Lambs sold higher, sheep sold higher, and goats sold higher.

Friday        Calves sold on a steady market. Grass yearlings sold on a steady market. Yard yearlings sold with prices $3-5 lower.

 

Steers:

L & A Black of Proton Station consigned 11 head. 1 char steer weighed 1555 lbs and sold for an average price of 149.00.

 

Cows: There were 300 cows on offer

             Beef                                      70.00   – 80.00 sales to 82.50

Good Holstein Cows         64.00   –   74.00

Medium Holstein Cows     56.00   – 63.00

D4 Cows                               45.00 – 55.00 

 

Kevin Rennick of Monkton consigned 3 head. 1 red cow weighed 1630 lbs and sold for a price of 82.50.

 

Bulls: There were 18 bulls 77.00 – 106.50

 

Bob Pinkerton of Cargill consigned 2 head. 1 red bull weighed 1130 lbs and sold for a price of 106.00.

 

Veal:   There were 140 head of veal on offer.
